Arizona vs Texas Tech: NCAAF Odds & Predictions

There will be plenty of excitement in college football today as this will be the last slate of games before the initial 2026 College Football Playoff Rankings are released on Tuesday, November 3. The action starts with the Arizona Wildcats heading east to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a battle between Big 12 contenders, with Texas Tech a slight favorite in college football odds, while the unbeaten Utah Utes face a tough road test against the Cincinnati Bearcats prior to their epic showdown with the BYU Cougars in the Holy War next weekend.

These games will have a massive impact on the Big 12 standings, so see below for our college football predictions.

College Football Games Today

While a lot of attention goes towards the SEC and Big Ten, it is the Big 12 that will take center stage in CFB today. The conference now has six teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25, and Arizona and Texas Tech will meet in one of the two games between ranked teams.

The other ranked game will pit the Florida Gators against the Georgia Bulldogs at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. This will be the first time that these two rivals have played in Atlanta, as 93 of their meetings have been in Jacksonville, Florida. Meanwhile, College GameDay is heading back to Bloomington, Indiana for the college football 26 season to celebrate the defending national champion Indiana Hoosiers.

Who Plays Football Today?

The No. 13 Texas Tech Red Raiders will host the No. 22 Arizona Wildcats at Galaxy Stadium in Lubbock, Texas at 12 p.m. ET. It will be an early start for the Wildcats, but it is also an 11 a.m. local start for the Red Raiders.

Top NCAAF Games on Today’s Schedule

It’s time to set up the dual screen for the 3:30 p.m. ET set of games. Indiana will host Minnesota in the College GameDay Game of the Week, while Florida and Georgia will square off in front of a very partial Bulldogs crowd in Atlanta, Georgia.

NCAAF Preview for Today’s Top Matchups

Noah Fifita has to be the main topic of conversation in this week’s NCAAF preview. Fifita is now Arizona’s all-time leader in passing yards and wins, and he has the highest passer rating in a conference that includes potential No. 1 overall pick Drew Mestemaker. He will face a challenge as Texas Tech is ranked 23rd in Defensive SP+, but we have seen him rise to meet the moment throughout this season.

Ranked College Football Matchups

Once again, there are just two ranked games in college football today. Arizona will look to get its biggest win of the season on the road against Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are favored by just 3.5 points in this game, and the total is set at 54.5 points.

Georgia is a double-digit favorite in the other game between ranked teams in CFB today. The Bulldogs will host the Florida Gators in the Peach State for just the second time since 1932, and Georgia has won five straight games and eight of the last nine games against Florida.

Conference Games to Watch

Aside from those two games, Indiana will host Minnesota in a matchup between Big Ten teams with just one conference loss. The Hoosiers are 7-1 and ranked No. 4 nationally, while the Golden Gophers are 5-2 after upsetting Iowa last Saturday. Minnesota suffered 20+ point losses to Mississippi State and Purdue, and the Golden Gophers are about to go on a brutal five-game stretch to end the regular season.

College Football Lines Today

We have seen some minor changes in the college football lines this week. Indiana was originally a 19-point favorite, but the Hoosiers are now -20.5 against Minnesota. Additionally, Georgia opened as a 10.5-point favorite against Florida before the line moved to 11.5.

Point Spreads and Moneylines

Texas Tech is just a 3.5-point favorite over Arizona after the initial lines had the Red Raiders favored by 4.5 points in this game.

College Football Over/Under Lines

The over/under in the Texas Tech and Arizona game has been set at 54.5 points.

College Football Predictions Today

I am once again backing Arizona in my college football predictions. The Wildcats have won five straight games after suffering a 28-17 road loss to BYU, and they have easily covered the number in their last three victories. Arizona has a major advantage at quarterback, but the recent play of the defense makes the Wildcats an actual Big 12 title contender.

Predictions for Today’s Biggest Games

I believe the Indiana Hoosiers will cruise to an easy win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the first of my other college football predictions. However, the better bet is Under 41.5 considering the defenses involved. Indiana’s defense is ranked 2nd in SP+, while Minnesota’s defense ranks 27th in SP+. I’d be very surprised if the Golden Gophers scored more than 10 points as Minnesota has one of the worst offenses in the Power Four.

Florida should be able to cover the number against Georgia too. The Gators have had an up-and-down season under Jon Sumrall, and they haven’t fared well against the Bulldogs recently. It seems likely they will welcome back Aaron Philo and Vernell Brown III though, and that will help their chances of staying within the number.

Potential Upsets to Watch

Arizona should be able to knock off Texas Tech to move to 7-1 on the season. The Wildcats are great on offense and defense and rank 14th in Overall SP+, and their only big issue is with their special teams. Their kicking game has had some major issues this season, and Arizona has made just 3 of its 7 field goal attempts between 30 and 49 yards.

I also like UAB’s chances of knocking off South Florida in Tampa Bay. The Bulls are 5-2 this season, but they have benefited from a weak schedule. Their fans are already grumbling about the Brian Hartline era, and there isn’t expected to be much of a homefield advantage for a noon kickoff where tickets are available for under $10.

College Football Picks for Today

My NCAAF expert picks have lived up to the billing in recent weeks. I went 7-0 ATS last week as Miami (FL), UCF, LSU, Minnesota, and Arizona all covered the college football lines, and UCF and Minnesota both won on the moneyline. I have now hit on four straight moneyline college football picks, so without further ado, here are the plays this week.

Against-the-Spread Picks

Arizona +3.5 at Texas Tech
UAB +8.5 at South Florida
Florida +11.5 at Georgia
Under 41.5 in Indiana vs. Minnesota

Moneyline Picks

Arizona +140 at Texas Tech
UAB +245 at South Florida

College Football Best Bets

One of my top college football picks of the week is Arizona to go on the road and knock off a solid Texas Tech team. My other college football best bets are UAB, Florida, and the Under in the College GameDay Game of the Week.

Best Bet of the Day

I have raved about Arizona’s potential to knock off Texas Tech this week, and the Wildcats are my favorite pick on Saturday. We can see why the Red Raiders fought so hard to try to keep Brendan Sorsby on the roster, as the quarterback play has not been good in Lubbock. Will Hammond has thrown six touchdowns and six interceptions, and he has yet to throw for more than 300 yards in a game.

Best Value Betting Opportunities

There is good value in UAB covering the number and winning outright against South Florida. The Bulls aren’t nearly as good as they were last year with Alex Golesh, and the Blazers have looked much better without Trent Dilfer. SP+ doesn’t think too highly of UAB just yet, but this is a gritty team that knows how to win ugly games.

Under 41.5 in Indiana vs. Minnesota is a great pick too. The Golden Gophers have not looked good on offense, while the Hoosiers might have the best defense in the country. Minnesota has a solid defense of its own, and Indiana has not looked sharp on offense this season.

Key Factors Behind Today’s College Football Predictions

As with any college football predictions, injuries and home field advantage play a big part. Big injuries along the offensive line and defensive line often go unnoticed by the media, but they can play a massive role in a game. Quarterbacks can look rather pedestrian if they don’t have talented players keeping the pocket clean, while defensive linemen are now seen as the premier defenders due to their ability to get pressure.

Quarterbacks, Injuries and Team News

Once again, Noah Fifita is a big reason why I’m betting on Arizona in this game. Fifita is having his best season yet as offensive coordinator Seth Doege has been able to get the most out of the undersized quarterback. Arizona’s star signal caller has completed 74.2% of his passes for 2,064 yards with 18 touchdown passes and four interceptions through seven games.

Recent Form and Home-Field Advantage

Texas Tech has one of the most underrated home field advantages in college football. The Red Raiders haven’t lost in Lubbock in almost two seasons, but this team isn’t nearly as talented as last year’s edition.
